In conjunction with the research project on the flow discharge plan of the cascade hydropower station at the upper stream of River Min, SEEAC organized a team including researchers and staffs from Chengdu Engineering Corporation Limited and Sichuan Fisheries Institute, and developed on-site investigation on hydropower and ecological environment at the upper stream of River Min.

The team studied on the hydrological and ecological status at water-reduced sections through field visit, especially at Futang Hydropower station and Jiangsheba Hydropower station, and discussed with local station workers in aspects of daily operations, discharge flow and environmental issues concerned.

The site visit not only helps us better understand the status of hydropower stations and urgent environmental issues at the upper stream of River Min, but also supports our research project through putting scientific theories into daily practice.
