China Program Director of WWF Visited SEEAC

On March 30th, 2015, the China Program Director of WWF (World Wildlife Fund), Dr. HU Tao, visited Sichuan Environment and Engineering Appraisal Center (SEEAC). Last year, SEEAC applied with WWF to GEF (Global Environmental Facility) for the project of “City Demonstration Co-Control of GHGs and Air Pollutants in Sichuan Province”. The project plans to carry out pilot work on co-control of GHGs and air pollutants in several cities/counties/districts in Sichuan (including Panzhihua, Nanchong, etc) during China’s National 13th Five-Year Plan period, and share co-control experiences up to the national level. The project aims to develop policy recommendations on co-control for the 13th Five-Year Plan on Energy-saving and Emission Reduction, and demonstrate for GEF’s similar projects in other regions in the future. During Dr Hu’s visit, both parties discussed on the latest progress and the future execution of the project. Currently, the application of the project is on track.
