During August 26 to 27, Yao Yuan, the party leader of SEEAC led a team including staffs and Professor Xu He, the director of the Strategic Environmental Appraisal Research Center of Nankai University, headed to Xinjing county, Longquanyi Economic Development Zone and Shuangliu Xihanggang Economic Development Zone for a two-day field investigation on the low carbon development mode and pathway for low carbon industrial development.

The team had deep discussions with the industrial park management committee and local environmental staffs in terms of the park planning, industrial layout, industrial energy consumption and environmental measures taken etc. They visited the typical manufacturing enterprises in the industrial park and exchanged views on production efficiency improvement and energy consumption reduction. Based on experiences of industrial park development and researches done by Nankai University, both sides had thorough exchanges on exploring pathway for low carbon industrial development.
